Meet a few of the School Horses of Willow South

Apricot is one of the newest arrivals at Willow South, she is half sister to 7 of our horses.  She is 6 years old and comes from Willow Hill Farm in Keeseville NY.  She already shows the quiet, forgiving attitude and graceful movement so valued by our riding school.  Shown here with Amy
Lancelot, a talented pony we purchased in 2002, is 10 years old.  He is 14.1 hands tall and has a rock-solid canter and lovely jumping form.  He is used for the intermediate to advanced students at Willow South. Sage is 13.2 hands high.  He has been with Willow Hill and Willow South for most of his 17 years.  He is a very plucky, useful individual with a great sense of humor.  He is useful for beginner through advanced.  Shown here competing at Ashland Farm combined test with Helga Schroeder, November 2008
Paco, 5 year-old full brother to Apricot is also one of our newest arrivals.,  Paco was also born at Willow Hill farm and promises to join Willow South's great eventing team.
Barnaby is 28 years old.  He has been there and done that!  He is among our very best beginner instructors.  He has been in the Edwards family since he was 2 years old.  Barnaby loves to go on field trips to area trails and courses and he loves his job teaching young beginners how to walk, trot, canter, post and steer.  A true confidence builder and always willing and ready to work.   Shown here with Stephanie Sapp at Pine Top Farm.
Ginger, 20 year old registered Paint mare.  The perfect school horse.  She can teach a 4-year old child to post.  She can take a 14 year old around a 3' jump course.  The patience of a saint and a Willow South favorite for the last 6 years.

Charlie is a 9-year-old Quarter Horse mix with incredible scope and talent.  He has been with Willow South since he was 2 years old and has contributed to the eventing careers of a few of our luckiest riders. He has been to 2 American Eventing Championships and countless beginner novice and novice horse trials.

Capri, 13-year-old Quarter Horse gelding shown here at Poplar Place Farm with Reilly.  Capri is used for beginner to intermediate riders and loves to get out to shows.
Zeus. 12-year-old Pony of the Americas.  12.2 hands tall, chocolate appaloosa, Zeus is adored for his looks and personality.  He is shown her at Poplar Place Farm with Taylor winning the Amoeba combined test.
