Kayla and Deno at their first recognized event, beginner novice at Poplar place.  Deno showed his good schooling in the deep mud during the dressage test - he was hardly phased at all as he carefully negotiated all the turns.  He was clean cross country and stadium and ended up in 6th overall, pinned with one of those glorious poplar place ribbons!
