Willow South Riding School is owned an operated by Tawn Edwards, United States Pony Club graduate and ARICP certified instructor.

Riding instruction at Willow South  is based on the goals and ideals of the United States Pony Club. We are committed to safety and a mutually beneficial relationship between horse and rider. Each rider must wear a protective helmet at all times while mounted and must wear proper shoes for foot protection in the stable.

Students will be matched with horses that compliment their ability and their personality. Willow South's horses are superb lesson horses with years of experience. Students will learn the three components of Combined Training:

1) Dressage 2) cross country 3) stadium jumping

It takes time and practice to be able to manage these phases independently, and lessons will be an effort toward achieving these goals.

For further information on what combined training (eventing) is all about, see the United States Combined Training Association's website and click on "eventing"

Willow South Riding Program is formatted to take the beginner rider through the fundamentals of equestrian competence.

From safety measures, grooming and tacking up, to basic handling of the horse while mounted and unmounted.  All efforts are made to teach safe and humane treatment of the horses while learning equestrian sport.
